Safeguarding the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of patient health data is our highest operational commitment. We treat Protected Health Information (PHI) with uncompromising discipline.
Before any chart data, patient records, or system access credentials are exchanged, V1RCM executes a legally binding HIPAA Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with your practice, establishing strict protocols regarding permitted uses, data breach response timetables, and audit rights.
All data transmission between your electronic health record (EHR) and our processing environment utilizes FIPS 140-2 validated cryptographic protocols (TLS 1.3 / AES-256). All databases and file storage repositories are encrypted at rest with dedicated key rotation.
Our coders and billing specialists work within hardened, monitored virtual environments. Terminals are strictly prohibited from utilizing external USB storage, printing, screen capturing, or accessing unauthorized external networks. Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is mandatory for every user.
All V1RCM personnel undergo comprehensive HIPAA, HITECH, and cybersecurity awareness training upon hire, followed by recurring semi-annual refresher certifications and background checks.
Have questions regarding our security protocols or need our standard BAA template for your legal team?
